SHARONA pattern by Delinda Boutique

Hobbies!! best thing to keep you occupied..If it turns profession!!! nothing like that….

The list of hobbies goes on..and one of it is Sewing..Like many of other hobbies I didn’t lose the focus or consistency in spending time..which helped me to take this a profession…while I take care of my home.

Tried with simple stuffs stitching pants for my kid..of-course she wont find if its a designer wear or her moms creation as long as she is comfortable..my graduation started here from simple pajamas for my kid to sling bags..to normal bags.

As I am close in completing the ritual..Branded pattern have always fascinated me..and wanted to try my hands in that…

In this serious of my exploration ..one day I got hold of Delinda Boutique..from then..I have become a regular testers for Pattern Designers!!

I Would like to take this opportunity to thank Maria Petrova for all the encouragement and support that she has given me!!!!

Delinda Botique (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Delinda-Boutique/121151011254897?fref=ts)  has come with a Simple but versatile easy to sew Sharona Hobo Bag pattern and I was fortunate to be her tester this time too.

The pattern is very simple to follow with detailed instructions. Explanation are accompanied with colorful pictures which makes it easy for beginners. Sharona is a QUICK SEW PATTERN.

When I saw the prototype, decided to do a quilted version of the bag instead of foam…..This is not required as per the pattern…. So if your a non quilting person still you can make this with plain fabric and interfacing.

Quilting Directions (not called for in the pattern)

Fused the outer layer with Thin fusible Canvas (i.e., Dothi canvas as commonly called in India). Layered the fused Outer fabric, cotton batting and medium thick interfacing (i.e, collar canvas or fusible buckram as called in India). Quilted the main bag body with straight lines and front pocket panel with criss-cross lines. Followed the Pattern for cutting after this step

Below is my finished bag front. It has a Front pocket which closed with Magnetic snap.

The back side of the bag. It has a zipper pocket.

Used a waterproof material for the gusset. Attached 4 Bag feet as called for in the pattern

Added a pair of rivets on each sides as extra accessories (not called for in the pattern)

The bag closes with Magnetic snap and has one interior zipper pocket and a slip pocket which you can divide it as per your requirement
